The 2025 Nissan Frontier is a powerful midsize pickup built for drivers with tough tasks ahead. Read on for a closer look at the new Frontier’s modern driver assistance technology, large bed, and motivated powertrain.
The Powerful V6
The Frontier’s robust 3.8-liter V6 engine delivers 310 horsepower and 281 lb.-ft. of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth power distribution. While front-wheel drive comes standard, an available all-wheel drive system enhances traction for enhanced control on challenging terrain.
Towing a family boat or hauling work materials is no problem with the entry-level S trim. This variant with the standard rear-wheel drive has an impressive maximum towing capacity of 7,040 pounds.
The Trailblazing Safety Assistance Technology
Backing out of parking spaces is a breeze with the support of rear cross traffic alert. This feature monitors the rear of the truck and sends you an alert when it notices cars approaching from either side of the Frontier. Additional driver assistance technology highlights include rear automatic braking mitigation, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and automatic high beam assist.
The Durable Cargo Bed
The 2025 edition comes with either a Standard or Long bed. The Standard pickup bed for the Frontier measures 59.5 inches, or about five feet long. With a cover on the bed, you’ll have 40.1 cubic feet of volume in this space.
The available long bed adds about a foot of length for 73.3 inches total. This expands the volume up to 49.2 cubic feet of space. Of course, you can always secure taller items in the back above the sidewalls. The Utili-track channel system makes this easy with three available channels you can slide tie-down cleats into.
The Incredible Ground Clearance
Outstanding minimum ground clearance gives the Frontier approach angles perfect for off-roading adventures. The S trim comes standard with 7.8 inches of minimum ground clearance. If you do a lot of off-roading, you’ll want to look at the PRO-X with its 8.4 inches of ground clearance, or the PRO-4X with its incredible 8.6 inches of minimum ground clearance.
The Versatile Cabin
The Frontier’s cabin makes for an excellent home base as you tackle daily tasks. Remote keyless entry gets you inside, a six-way adjuster on the driver’s seat keeps you comfortable, and a seven-inch multi-function information display makes it easy to keep track of your truck’s information. You’ll have four USB ports for charging your devices. Wireless Apple CarPlay instantly connects your phone to your 12.3-inch touchscreen with NissanConnect.
