Both the independent strut front suspension and the semi-independent torsion beam rear suspension feature a coil-over-shock design with stabilizer bars, and speed-sensitive steering is standard on all models this year. Each of the three trims in the lineup offers a choice between front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrains, with each model including an Xtronic continuously variable transmission.
In the Cabin
Despite its compact size, the newest Kicks offers over 125 cubic feet of space for passengers and just under 30 cubic feet of cargo volume, even with all five seats occupied, thanks to a clever and ergonomic cabin design. The base-model S comes with light tinting on all its windows, while the SV and SR trims feature deeper tinting, creating a cozy and private space that protects the Nissan’s premium cloth upholstery from sun damage.

The compact crossover’s instrument panel features a seven-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display that shows all the important info you’ll need during your drive. The Nissan Kicks comes with four surrounding speakers connected to the seven-inch NissanConnect display, while the SR trim offers an optional upgrade to a six-speaker Bose Personal Plus sound system.
